Every one of us has a story to tell. We each have a story about something we have gone through that has hindered us from loving the way that God does. We might feel like it is a bad and embarrassing story, but honestly, it can help someone if we share it. Our story can help someone else who may be going through the same thing we went through. These people you will read about here in Honorable Intimacy’s Made Free blog series have decided to share their stories regarding victory over past mistakes, affairs, wrong choices, relationship failures, or the influence of sexual perversion in their lives in hopes it will help you or someone else see there is hope for change and freedom from any hurt, guilt, or shame if desired.

We want you to know that just because relationship difficulties or even sexual perversion have been a part of your current life or your past (whether it was your decision or the cause of what someone else did to you), it doesn’t mean it has to follow you into your future. There is victory and Honorable Intimacy waiting for you!
In this section of our website we want to tell you that no matter what your life has been like, and no matter what has happened to you in your past…God loves you. We want you to know that He knew you before you were even born. He created you with a unique and one-of-a-kind purpose for here on earth. Jeremiah 29:11-13 tells you that His plan for you is a good plan. One that is meant to prosper you and not bring harm to you.
Please take a few minutes and read these stories of people who were influenced to live a life of relationship mistakes or sexual perversion at some point, but then found out how much God really loves them and how He really created them. Because of the revelation of God’s love for them, these people repented of their past and decided to change the direction they were going. After surrendering their life to Jesus, they found a better way to live. A life that was full of peace, joy, and God’s kind of love. These people were then able to love other people in a way they never had before because of the love of God that came into their life. They each became new on the inside because they invited Jesus Christ to be their Savior.

If what you read touches your heart and you want the same freedom to love that these people now have, then please humble yourself and talk honestly with God. Tell Him the hurt and even confess any rebellion against Him that you have been living with. Surrender your life to Him and let Him heal you and set you free from your past, just like these people have. Jesus is waiting and He has never given up on you.
Romans 6:23 (in the Bible) tells you that there is penalty for sin. Sin has caused you to live a life separated from God—a life of no purpose or meaning and one that leads to eternal death. Romans 10:9-10 says that if you confess with your mouth that you believe Jesus is Lord and if you believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. With the heart you believe you are made right with God through Jesus, and with your mouth you confess you are saved. Romans 10:13 promises you that if you call upon the name of the Lord Jesus, you will be saved. You will become completely new on the inside because you have asked Jesus to be your Lord and come into your heart and life (Second Corinthians 5:17). His Spirit will live inside of you and help you live a different life when you learn to hear and obey His voice Who wants to lead and guide you.

Every one of us has a story. But it is not complete in just those one or two chapters. Every one of us has a true, pure, lasting, all-things-made-new identity waiting to be birthed. Whether perversion in your view of intimacy or your identity was your decision, a result of choices, or the cause of what someone else introduced to you, or resulted from what someone did to you, it doesn’t mean it has to follow you into your future! God created honorable intimacy for you.
It’s a choice and heart decision to believe in the love God has for you and the new life He has waiting for you through making Jesus Lord of your life.
